the seats in my 124 coupe are getting a bit scruffy. ive given them a thourough rub with some baby wipes, which has gotten rid of some of the dirt, but hasnt brought them up as id like them. can anyone recomend a product that will bring them up to as new condition? preferably an off the shelf item, rather than an ebay or online thing, as i cant/ wont do cyber payment. thanking you in advance.

AutoGlym do a leather cleanse and leather cream kit. One cleans and the other replenishes the leather after. I've used them and find them good and not too expensive. Should be better than baby wipes anyways!

I used Meguiars leather cleaner/conditioner (about a tenner from Halfrauds) on my old Lexus and it did a damn good job...

I used these... www.liquidleather.com/liquidl.htmI bought some P5 seats that were covered in mold from being in a damp garage. A few nights in front of the tv with a scrubbing brush and there were like a babys bum!

Dave go to a saddlery and get some "Stubben" leather cleaner and some leather feeder.. 1/4 the price of all these branded cleaners and will do a far better job. I bought a 250g tub for £4.90 and I have done two full trims one was a Vito bus and my three piece twice and its only half used.... www.stubbendirect.co.uk/stubben-leather-care-c-62.htmlIts good stuff mate,

Gliptone has worked for me many a time . On my Porsche seat when I came to clean them, they came up brilliantly white where I went over them with the Gliptone. Initially worrying that I had wrecked my seats (I was none the wiser at the time!) I was later informed that the 944 leather seats were indeed near enough a pimp daddy white colour when new (Linen I believe they called it). This first pic shows the car when I got it. In daylight the seats did not look that bad: This pic makes out the centre section (and bolster) of the seat that I cleaned with Gliptone a month prior to taking this photo. The different was quite apparent in the flesh! I left it at the time since I was worried I had wrecked the seats. When the time came for me to man up to clean the seats, my heater matrix was leaking in quite a bad way, so cleaning the seats slowly dropped off my priorities! If following the instructions (via the rag) method does not work (you can clean most seats well like this), gently use a shoe brush to clean up the leather or a toothbrush (I cannot take credit for that tip, but it certainly did help in getting my beige interiors less grubby (A sucker for punishment some might say).
