I have a dilemer (excuse spelling mistakes) I have to change the shocks all round on my coventry girl the triumph saloon has mac pherson struts on the front, should I just replace the damper inserts & fit my lowered uprated springs or convert the struts I have to adjustible coilovers as per an article in practicle classics & retro car mag a while back using the kit fron rally design, obviously going the coilover route has advantages such as slimmer profile for wheel/tyre clearance, adjustabuility cheers guys

I think if you can do coilovers, you should. More adjustability, and like you said you can fit wider wheels!

Deffo go coilovers, expecialy if you can make them yourself. The adjustment and choice of spring is very useful for getting both the performance and looks right!

the damper inserts i have are koni adjustibles too which is leading me 2wards making coilvers, so i have adjustible spring/damping/height on the front of the triumph, i only got the konis due to them being cheap at the classic car show @ the nec brum, i could proboly sell the front new lowered/uprated springs i have which always helps the funds haha, anyone know of the top of the noggin how much these kits are? decisions decisions!

Rally design coilovers are 21.80 + vat each I've just used a pair to convert the front struts on my celeste, they're a really nice bit of kit Mike
