does anyone know of anywhere the does line boring?
I know a lad who has an evo with a score in the bore and doesn't fancy taking the engine out.
Scotland location would be ideal !

i think youre confused as to what line boring is.
line boring is machining the big ends in the block to make sure they're in-line with each other, i.e. the block isnt warped. it requires the engine to be out and totally disassembled.
overboring is machining the cyls to a different size, which sounds like what you need doing. again, youre not going to do it without the engine being removed and stripped to a bare block though. with very, very light scoring you might get away with just honing it, but chances are if its big enough to be recognisable as a descernable score, its too bad to hone and will need a bore.

In the old olden days there used to be mobile mechanics that would re-bore your engine in situ.
I've seen or heard of any since I started wearing long trousers though.

^^ What they said.
There are still people who offer insitu boring but I've never heard of good results and personally would never chance it. Do it properly- do it once

Honing maybe, but never heard of mobile boring.
given the amount of work required to get at the block to bore it, you might as well take it out!
