You appear to have the spring platforms wound up to the wrong end of the strut. Please correct immediately...

Me office, car home, camera lens not THAT long!
Yes they are wound up to forrest hight at the mo, makes it look a bit odd, but with the big flappy flaps it looks like a proper rally car not a slammed street car. Lowering will load up the springs and make it even stiffer which my back can't rally cope with. I WILL slam it just for the pics as I know you want to see it.
Not hard to make. Grind off original spring platform, leaving just enough for the sleeves to rest on and enough to tack the welds too as you can't weld onto the strut cos you knacker teh viscosity of the oil. 3 welds to hold it all in place, grind them down smooth and add red oxide to protect.
I must say the coils look ridiculously small (diameter) compared to the old ones but they are 150lb and so were the old ones. 130 on the rear.

i think i'll make these for my triumph saloon as my front shocks are knackered & the struts take inserts, by your description & the mag articles i have i think i may go this route, seems a worthwhile mod for only a small bit of extra effort, hope the bolts that hold my dampers in my struts come out without too much effort, i bet they'll be a complete though! haha the joys :OP

I was lucky as I had replaced the original struts with the uprated ones only last year so all teh bolts were still easy peasy.
