On my Mini I dispensed with the headlining and instead glued some foam backed vinyl sheet to the interior of the roof. This was a roll of the stuff, about 5mm thick and stuck in place onto the original paint using spray glue; the type advertised to be used for sticking interior trim in place (think it was made by Wurth). All was going well until last week when the sheet fell on my head
I stuck it on last year at some point so it's been on for a while, however the car has only been on the road for a week. I'm guessing either the vibration from being on the road or heat from being parked in the (relative) sunshine has caused the glue to fail. Anyone any suggestions on how I should have stuck this stuff down?
