Right, I've got this 1999 Passat VR5 estate (2.3 V5) engine, and although it does everything it should, I'm just not feeling it. Plus I've bought a Jeep Cherokee to replace it, so it's got to go.
My car has done 150k miles, is MOTd until next March and taxed for a good few months yet. Although I'll have to send the tax disc back when I swap my insurance over to the Jeep at the end of the month. It's manual, decent tyres all round and has no rust that I can see. Interior is black leather/blue alcantara (leather bolsters, alcantara under yer bum). It has a towbar with electrics (although I've not used it, I assume it all works!).
It has a scratch above one wheel arch and a couple of scratches on the filler cap, but nothing too serious.
Everything seems to work as far as I can tell - remote c/l, electric windows etc.
Since buying it, I've replaced the alternator and the crank sensor, it runs faultlessly now and seems to return around 27mpg round town on short runs. I'm pretty sure the seller mentioned that it had a balljoint or two replaced for the MOT, and had brand new front discs and pads for the test too.
This last week I've been commuting to Sheffield and it's been returning over 30mpg, despite there being plenty of traffic at a few points along the way, I'm pretty sure it would do mid 30s MPG on a steady 70-80mph motorway run.
Feel free to ask any questions, and I'm a sucker for something interesting in terms of swapsies, so try me! Nothing small though, I don't do small...
Oh, in the below pics, the spare was on as that tyre had a puncture, it now has the alloy back on, complete with repaired tyre!
