In other news, I picked up yet another set of wheels for the car today But don't worry, these are bought just for the tyres! The steels are actually from a ford focus and will be sold on, the tyres are 6 month old Uniroyals with good tread in 185/70 r14 size, give em a bit of a clean and hopefully get the tyres swapped to my alloys this week Yey alloys Something different to the norm?

Mine's the same Adam - crashy and squirmy over bumps. Could be that they both need work!

Aye, its probably high time I spent some money on the suspension as I'm not entirely sure when any new bits were last fitted to it, aside from the new front springs I've put on In other news, just one more wheel to finish off!

Fronts are now on as the spacer got flush with the hub as I tightened it down, main issue now is that the steering ball joint just catches on the inside of the wheel! pretty sure I had checked this before but forgot to put an extra slip on spacer on the front, will sort that and more pics later

Yes! They have transformed the look of the car. They really suit it, and go with the colour beautifully. Get those fronts on and some pictures up!

Get those fronts on and some pictures up! And indeed I shall (note to self, should have asked for a camera for christmas) I'm really happy with how its looking Just want to get in and drive it but going to have to wait until I space the wheels a bit more tomorrow Now I think with some negative camber wishbones up front and a bit more low at the front and I could be on to a winner Also debating painting the letters on the Uniroyals...

Looking spot on mate, only thing I would do is put the minilites back on for winter as you don't want our wintery salty roads ruining all your hard work on those rims! Keep up the good work!

That's made this B look 100% more interesting than when it was sat on the minilights. Always enjoy reading your trials and tribulations with this car.

Unfortunately the minilites are gonna have to go up for sale soon as I don't have the space to keep them and the money would come in handy. I have got some wheel wax on them to try and keep them looking good and I shall be keeping right on top of them, though it is rather the worst time of the year to choose to put on some newly polished wheels

Ha cheers, the minilites were way too much of a safe bet for the MG so I'm glad to get something a little different on there Oh there will be more trials and tribulations to come soon I'm sure, changing the wheels has made me realise that the rear suspension is in a bit of a state

That's made this B look 100% more interesting than when it was sat on the minilights. Agreed. They do look fantastic, it's weird how these wheels on a lot of cars would be boring and obvious. Put them on this and it looks unique. Yet the MGB is like the most popular classic car going. Weird. Not sure about the white writing. It's quite a racy look.

I was talking with a mate about this at a local meet, loads of VW/Audi/Seat stuff with generic BBS crosspoke style wheels which made them look boring, yet on the B they look a bit different. Same would probably apply if you put a golf on minilights (not that I particularly like golfs much..)

Have to admit that I've always been a Minilite lover and they look right on so many different cars, "overdone" or not, but those alloys really do look well and set the "B" off nicely.
Good job!

Those wheels look ace, I wasn't sold on them until you put them on the car and took photographs but they really, really sit well.

painttheletters-painttheletters-painttheletters-painttheletters-painttheletters-painttheletters. Only if he swaps then for slotmags, thrushes and an extended shackle kit Glad to see the minishites off the car at last everything seems to foul the track rod on these, my compomotives would if they had balance weights on them. I aught to centreline balance them but it's not noticeable enough Good work, keep the mojo flowing
