Afternoon.I'm having a few issues with my Sierra, which is really annoying me, and ruining the drive. The car is a H reg'd 2.0i Twin cam Est.
The problem is this. When your cruising along at (usually) between 2.5 and 3.5k rpm, it starts, well, chugging. Its like really rapidly taking your foot on and off throttle, but probably more rapid than you could actually do it if you tried.Doesn't feel like a running out of fuel type thing, is more 'violent' than that.Only usually between that rev range, at any speed, in any gear, just between those rpm. It'll never stop or breakdown, it'll just keep doing it. accelerate, and it stops, throttle off totally, and stops(although I'm sure now I can feel it a bit in over run).
Seems a bit worse when cold. The car drives ok otherwise, although it can be very hesitant sometimes when pulling away, like its not getting enough fuel or so?Often, if I need a quick-ish get away from a side road etc, I need to hold the revs up, as if I pull away normally, I be stranded a bit in the road, and look very stoopid!
cars got FSH, and Ive just done a full one recently, doing the fuel filter tommorow.
I know there are a few sensors and things on these engines that give a bit of grief, but cant think what they are!
Probably unrelated, but is also difficult to get into 1st and second from total stop.Goes in fine if your rolling slightly, but from standing, you really need to shove it.
Any pointers would be good, as its very irritating.
