The picture with the pink decal should read "Don't leave your car un-attended for too long at Read Performance www.readperformance.co.uk/, otherwise you get ganged up on by the Japanese car lovers! They do keep stock of several joke decals, for all car types!" For some reason the forum doesn't let you abbreviate 'Japanese' down to just the first three letters...? Didn't realise that J A P was a bad word?! So, how fast does it now go with the Lotus Twin Cam? A bit faster than the 90 mph that the speedo goes up to, I'll bet. To be honest, I haven't been on a road yet where I can push it above 60. All I can say is it gets to 60 very quickly. We've got it to 138bhp on the rolling road, with maybe a smidgen more to come with electronic ignition and slightly changed jets on the carbs.

Not to shabby that . Nice you kept the orignal colour, you must have been tempted to change it?

This is exactly how I would have wanted an Anglebox back in the day, I still love it just as much now. Congratulations.

Some serious work there! I was impressed before I saw the resto pics, got so much more respect for the work after seeing them! Thank you, much appreciated. Nice you kept the orignal colour, you must have been tempted to change it? To be honest, no I haven't, i've always liked Spruce Green. I know it's a boring colour, but I think it suits the car and it's perfect as a sleeper colour. If it was something louder, more in your face, then it would attract more attention and I've never wanted that. If I had bottomless pockets I'd love to do an authentic Lotus Anglia as if Ford had made one. White with green stripe, black grill, black interior, no side chrome, ally door skins, ally boot and bonnet, ally diff housing, ally bell-housing, early Lotus TC engine, all period parts that were around at the time. No new technology and all items that ended up on the Mk1. Lotus Cortina. But, people would know exactly what it was when you're driving around in it. No secrets! This is exactly how I would have wanted an Anglebox back in the day, I still love it just as much now. Congratulations. Many thanks. Lovely car I used to live in mudeford my parents still do It is lovely living down on the coast, just a shame it takes ages to drive anywhere in the summer when the grockles decend...

I want one of those engine soooo much. One day..... Lovely motor though, I've got a bit of a soft spot for Anglias, probably because you just don't see them over here.
