Wonder whether anyone's got any past experience of this...?
My Nova GTE (S16SE engine) has developed what can be best described as a squishing or high pitched gurgling noise whilst the engine's running - most noticeable at idle but also occurring at revs.
It's clearly something hydraulic, so either coolant or oil.
It appears to be coming from the front of the engine, somewhere near the alternator. The oil pump sits down there and incorporates the oil pressure regulator value. I'm tending to think that this is the source of the problem, although the oil pressure appears to be fine.
Any ideas?
