Having just reacquire a new car with a stainless Cat back i need help. Low revs low speeds its fine. but 50mph and above its head rattlingly loud. Are there any solutions too this without buying a new back box, I've already seen removable baffles.

Earplugs?
I have the same problem, I tried a baffle and it made a slight difference but nowhere near enough.
What car is it? Look underneath, see if it's got any boxes bypassed - It's pretty common for the custom exhaust places to just pipe straight up to the back box to save money.

Don't do more than 50mph, or, start singing louder and louder to drown it out. Sorry, not very useful I know. Is the exhaust corroded? Is it just a hole? If the silencer is repackable, that is the only option I know

I had a similar issue with my old 190E
I made a 'centre' box out of an old 'Cherry Bomb'. Took the edge off nicely

The Pug 306 GTI6s used to suffer with this with most aftermarkets exhausts, even a number of standard pattern ones. Unless you did over 80mph they would boom at that dual carriageway speed.
Getting a system with a chambered or Baffled back box (the Jetex I fitted to mine had this as did the original but pricey backbox. As Cobblers said, these types of systems are not always the cheapest.
What car is it? On my MkIV XR3i the first time it was down to me fitting a cherry bomb for a rear silencer, the second one I bought had downpipe back system fitted from a carb'd 1.6. Raspy and boomy were not the words
