I've a trd lsd sat in the shed since buying it off here a long time ago as I can't seem to find anyone locally who'll fit it for me. Has anyone fitted one themselves successfully? It's for a Starlet, so live axle & I have a spare diff out of the car ready for it to be fitted to. I just don't want to mess it up as I can't afford another one!

front or rear loading diff? make a huge differance, front loading (like the english axle in an escort) if it's compleat just fit it, rear loading (like a capri or cortina atlas axle) they need setting up proppely ! get a specialist to do it not worth ruining it by DIYing it IMHO unless you've done it before and have teh correct tools to set it up propperly IE prelaod on the "new" crush washer

It's front fit. All I've got is the new LSD unit & a complete diff out of the axle. I want a specialist to do it for me to make sure it's done right ideally, but every local Gearbox/transmission 'specialist' I've spoken to say they can't/won't do it.
