I need to employ your deductive expertise. I have an 87 Bluebird, recently on 1000 mile camping trip a whine from (I expect) the gearbox developed. Now, it has always had a slight miniscule noise at speed so it maybe that it has simply been exacerbated.
Symptoms:
Present through all gears.
Present in neutral.
Present at all speeds simply getting worse with speed.
Increases with deceleration and visa versa.
Gearbox oil is full and new.
Any ideas?
I suspect a bearing.
