I was driving the works van on Friday and there was an almighty bang, the front left corner had dropped right down and is sitting on the bump stop.
From what I can see it's a single transverse leaf running under/in the cross-member under the engine. So I took the top "cover" off the wishbone which the ARB drop link connects to and that end of the leaf sits under. I fully expected the leaf to be snapped, but it ain't.
I didn't have time to look through it properly but I can't see what else can have broken. The wishbone's sound, so are its mountings.
Any one got any ideas please? Fixing it's going to be my Monday morning job..
It's an '02 208CDI (I think) and it's done 49k.
