Hey guys, long story short - vandals have smashed the rear window of my car Last night and I really can't afford to have it replaced. Am I able to get a Perspex sheet and make one? Is it easy and is it legal? I need to sort this or I can't go to Retro Show

Rear should be fine. Does your insurance not cover it?
What car is it?

Seen plenty of road-legal track cars with poly/lexan rear windows, you should be fine. Just don't buy anything too thick/heavy. Flat rear windows are a godsend, I recall a mate drunkenly breaking the rear window of his Talbot Samba by falling onto it. He just slotted in a sheet of ply, painted it to match the car and ran around like that for about 6 months. That was back in '92 though, plod couldn't care less.

I wouldn't have thought that the window would be expensive? Surely you could scrounge up a used one from a wreckers yard for very little money?
