This is for the mechanic genious and customisers outhere. I have 96 15 passenger h100/grace van that I bought recently. I was told that the chassis or other suspension parts are the same as the mazda bongo, mutsubishi delica L300 and the hyundai porter. my intencion is to use one of the above vehicles rear axles which have double tyres on them. why? because my grace come with factory rear 15" rims and very slim tyres and when d van is full it becomes a bit unstable in the rear plus I think is too much wait for such small wheels. I was wondering if this swap was ever done to a van yet. the mazda bongo has this type of mode done to it from factory.

Why not simply fit wider / higher rated tyres ? A tyre dealer should be able to tell you if incorrect items are currently fitted and therefore the cause of your current problems. Also consider new springs or at least shocks.

Never seen a twin wheel H100 or L300 in the UK, I think some of the Bongo models were available as twin wheelers but again have never seen one here. If you are regularly carrying that much weight surely it would be better to get a van that can deal with it, changing to a twin wheel axle is going to be a major hastle..
