Q-bond is the ultimate adhesive but in this case I'm sure silicone will be fine.

Sillycone is great once it's dried but has very little grab, tape the lens on really tight until it gets a chance to go off.

Given the acetic acid in silicon, isn't there a chance of the fumes affecting the reflector?

My father-in-law used clear silicone sealant to stick the headlamp lens back on his Mk2 Escort and it was still holding when he sold it 4 years later.

Make sure the lens and the light are clean and if possible key the light surface with some very fine sandpaper.
+1 for sikaflex, excellent stuff.
