I am selling my trusty Skoda as I have bought a newer car. It has an MOT till mid December 2012 and tax until the end of August. I have had it 6 months and covered about 4000 miles, it hasn't let me down once. If you are looking for a cheap, reliable and practical car that is ready to drive, this is it.
This is the second Felicia I have owned, and I bought this one because it has the 1.6 VW engine from the Golf/Polo of the same era, rather than the old fashioned Skoda 1.3. It's a 5-speed manual. The car comes with a fully stamped service book, 15 stamps for annual services, most of which were done by Skoda. The clocks show roughly 60,000 miles but the service book states that the clocks were replaced at 11,000 miles.
There aren't many mod-cons, however that just means there are less things that can go wrong with it. No power steering (you won't notice it unless you like dry steering), manual windows etc. You do get central locking, radio/cassette with keycard (ooooh) a sunroof, which leaks ever so slightly on occasion, and an alarm, which I don't use as the Skoda badge is enough of a deterant to wannabe car thieves. It is actually very nice inside, the interior is in very good condition and it seats 5 people comfortably. The boot is huge anyway but if you remove the rear seats (which come out very easily) you have the load capacity of a small van! All four tyres were replaced just before I bought it so they all still have about 7mm of tread.
Unfortunately all Felicias seem to suffer with rust problems, this one is no different but it is not horrendous. For the next MOT the rear outer sills may need a patch welding in, these was an advisory on the last MOT. There is some rust coming through on the bottom of the wings, but generally it isn't bad for a Felicia. The O/S wing has a dent in it (kicked while parked in the street, or so the previous owner told me). There are a couple of key marks and the lacquer is peeling off all over the bonnet. The handbrake needs some attention as when you release it sometimes it sticks a little. Recently i've noticed the handbrake light flickering whilst i'm driving along, so that wants looking at.
It drives without fault and has been a pleasure to own. Test drives welcome. I'll get some pics up ASAP, it's piddling it down at the moment though.
PM me on here or call/text me on 07757497050. Thanks, Matt
