I know we've bought blind - fixed the 'worthless' ( not in our eyes ) and pulled heroic all nighters ( recent corti engine swap on here ) that started as a small job and went apocolyptic!
What's the most extreme lengths you've gone to for your ( or a mates ) old tin?
My Dolly was 'borrowed' by my unlicensed brother, smashed and recovered up nr Inverness ( girlfriend ) - 2500 was driven up to get him, then back to Sunderland. Got back promptly fitted tow bar and electrics, hired a trailer and went straight back up to get the Sprint. Got it - towed back to Sunderland and dropped off. Taking trailer out of back lane after that the big six servo failed and I hit a wall!
Quite a long Fri / Sat that one.
