Cars not quite used as they should be

I know people who have done exactly this. Especially where you have a house quite close to the road a big van can put your living room in shade all day. As you say, seems quite an expense to go to. But life is full of value judgements. Offer a trade on another car and he may be up for it. Or just buy one which is actually for sale?

Ive got 2 cars, one is parked on my driveway and one is parked on the street. Its getting annoying the number of people that park across my driveway with a car on it (the front of the car is 2 metres from the road). I keep thinking of getting another car just so I can block cars in that are blocking in the car on my driveway.

I guess you have never tried getting out of a driveway when someone else has blocked you in . A little extreme an idea I admit mind you.

Saying that they do look like straight E30s .

Could be worse, a friend of my sister lives next to a busy post office, she often finds people parked IN her driveway

We live on a one way street with cars parked both sides.Finding a space can be hard some nights but usually ok.
Bloke afew doors down thinks he has to park right outside his house,cm perfect. If your parked near his house and he comes home he parks bumper to bumper to you so he`s as close as possible to his house.As soon as you move he`s straight out so he can get parked up the way he likes.If he`s taking up two spaces so what.
After he blocked me in one morning when i had the works van and due to pick five blokes up for work,then wouldnt answer the door.I deceided to buy a scrap mk3 astra that had 11 months tax.This was awhile ago so no bother with insurance ect.Parked it right outside his house til the day the tax ran out.He used to stand in the street shaking his head just looking at it.Rung the police god knows how many times who couldnt car less along with the council.Made his blood boil.
Told him after that if he ever blocked us in again id do the same so he gives us a wide berth now.Payback is soo sweet.

I used to have my old Audi 100 avant for the same reason while an old peoples home was being built opposite.



I live on a duel carrageway going to/from Birmingham town centre, we still have idiots parking anywhere but while this old peoples home was being built, it was awful. We'd have some days where we'd have to park a few roads away because we couldn't even park on our driveway. Not fun with a new born and shopping. Stuck the Audi in such a way that you couldn't park over the driveway and everything was good

The worst we have now is the occasional nurse or doctor that is so lazy they can't drive 400yards down the road to do a U turn and go and park in the car park of the place.

A guy used to always park across the gates of our recovery yard in this BMW to avoid paying the £12 a day in parking fees in the car park next door. After dragging it backwards numerous times with the hi-ab and telling him about it we eventually Austin Powers'd it across the entrance then laughed as he shouted at us, then hit both ends on the gateposts as he did a billionty point turn to get out.
