won this on ebay last monday eve (21-5-12) well my other half was still away in turkey ;D and it was only 20miles away. I'm told a thread is worth nothing with out photos so heres the pic's from the ebay add which made me bid car unseen. taxed till end of the month and MOT for 4 months, a last minute bid of £500 and got it for less. I even got the chap to deliver her over. the car looks like it hasn't been polished or hooverd in a long time and the wheels are in need of a wire brush, but all seems good so far, wife is well happy....."not" oh bye the way this is my 3rd car

That's a lot of car for under £500 ,and not an auto, nice one ;D I too have secretly hankered after one of these for quite some time, but I'm too chicken to commit

I then wanted to start cleaning the interior as it stinks of wood (the material not the smell of a boner) best quote ever!

They seem like bargains atm, how long before the drift scene start taxing them? I'm interested in how you get on - I keep watching them on Ebay without the nerve to bid.

Nice I was watching it for my collection, I've had 4 of them now, currently rebuilding a jdm import with the 1jz engine in.
Keep an eye on the rear inner arches they love to rot out, you will need to remove the side trims in the boot and the speaker pods to see the area clearly.

thanks for the warm welcome, i want the white body mouldings to become black, as for the wheels, I see it as 4 options 1) all silver 2) all white 3) all black 4) white rims with black spokes
well I'm playing with the spare and have gone for option 4, will post pic up and see what you guys give me back. ive also made a start with the t-cutting, I'm pleased with the way its coming up so far, it wont ever be show room but looking smarter.

ok, i now have all four of the wheels done and made a start on the mouldings, but found out to late that they don't all just pull off, there are some hidden bolts holding them on. July 2012 by shagracer, on Flickr

That's a great price. I know these don't go for much but rare to find a decent condition manual for less than £800, let alone £300. Very nearly bought one but couldn't find it in myself to sell my Viva. I still often wish I had but nevermind.

The black trim and wheels really work. That car must be one of the best buys I've ever seen!

ownership of this car has been so pleasurable, one day another supra followed me home and stayed. shes a little older being an 89 on a G plate, oh and did I say that shes a TURBOwell it turned out it wasnt one of my best buys but after a few green backs were spent we started to bond, I thought she looked a bit on the dull side, as in this photo so I freshend the wheels up over the hols, please remember a Toyota is for life not just xmas with the reworked wheels fitted but still not eye popping, so the side strips got a going over then I added a red pin stripe which I think has done the trick, oh she also got a full 3"
