Astra owner - 'New rear wheelbearings for an Astra please...' Shop owner - 'Again sir...?' Looks ace though, I'm starting to like 80's style stuff again now!

well, it said mattig on the front, and the wheels look mattig. You can blattantly see the seam where they joined the wheel hoop though

Dimma kit isn't it? There was a modified car mag out in the late 80's wiht one of them I think on the front cover. Kind of a forrunner to MP.

vw in da house: Ok, I know its curse word, bad body kit and a whole pub bench on the back, but check the wheel dish!!
AWESOME CAR!!!! Imagine it slammed, low profile rubber, loose the "whale tail", fill the "vents" on the hood and paint it "Fly Giallo" and even I would be driving it proudly.....
DP says: The 80's is back on us, I had just gotten used to all this 70's kitch....

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I'm not denying it could look good, didnt the twin headlights, fill the grills in the bonnet and loose the tail and it would be sweet. I always liked mk2 gte's, its just a little laughable as it is. Wide bodys and mile deep dish steels will always be cool.
As for the bike, the wheels akt like gyro's to hold it up. You don't steer it as such, you make it lean and it steers itself, a bit like flying a plane. You control the tightness of the turn with the throttle.

I think you are all wrong. If memory serves me right its an Irish Kit and there was one for the Corsa too. I remember seeing about 20 of these cars sitting outside an industrial estate in Dublin in the early 90's and I believe that there were no GTE's involved. They were made on 1.4's? or possibly 1.3's

As for the kits makers, as i said, it has mattig cut out on the front bumper, but my initial impression was that it was fake. It just didnt look great in real life. It could however just be badly fitted. I should have took a rear shot too.

where were them pics taken? I saw this on a crappy housing asspciation estate in sheffield.
So, did mattig just sell the kits, or convert the cars? Is this red one likely to be propper mattig, or a copy kit?
