Hi guys,
After thinking about it a lot, I've decided to keep my W202 Mercedes. The main job that needed doing was changing the indicator stalk. I removed the old one to get the part number to order the new one, but while removing the wiring I noticed the airbag wasn't connected.
When I start putting everything back together I'm not sure what to do with the airbag. If it's been disconnected, it's been done so for a reason, so I'm cautious about reconnecting it. One the other hand though, if the worst was to happen and I was to crash, would the airbag still go off? If so, I guess it wouldn't necessary be when it was designed too.
There are no warning lights on the dashboard to say it's disconnected. Unless the bulb is out. Come to think of it, I can't remember if I've ever seen it come on when it's started.
Cheers guys
