keefy in da house: dp - do you know anything about this?Sure does look like an older Ducati 650 or 400, in Bologna where both Ducati & Cagiva was built along with Itlajet and Malagutti it was common to run over to the other guys and borrow from their parts bins when you ran out of things, even more in Spain where Derbi & Rieju verry often came with each others parts fitted, even heard of a Rieju with some Derbi stickers fitted (most likely on a Friday afternoon) by misstake..... herald948 in da house: www.vectrix.co.ukI have tested a verry early pre-production version of that scoot over in Italy and belive me it hauls a**, much like a 250cc, 400cc maxi scooter and I had it up to an indicated 140kph with instant throttle ( ?) response, I already then asked why no one has really done an electric scoot seriously? DP says: Only problem is the cost to replace batteries when time comes but I believe we'll see alot of this scoot...

Remember this is a scoot so doesnt have as big a pack as you get in a car. Electric vehicles are one of my great interests and I've followed this bike since the earliest publicity so while I don't know whether I'll be one of the first Vectrix owners it's definitely on my list of must-look-at bikes.

Modern bikes do nothing for me.
Without stating a preference, I'd love to own really tidy examples of......
Duke 916. Absolutely stunning and will never be bettered. Kawasaki GPZ900R. Defined the superbike back in the early 80s. Original twin-headlamp Fireblade. Brutal, twitchy, widowmaker. Duke 900SS, the 80s / early 90s version with big square headlamp.
Finally, a Honda CBX750. Don't know why, but they look just right and come with all the retro technology - 16 inch front wheel, anti-dive forks, air suspension.

I always used to love those nortons!! dp - do you know anything about this? Its labelled Ducati, but has many Cagiva branded parts on it. My mate got given it recently and I'm struggling to find much about them. I'm pretty sure its a 125 or 250. Right.... according to a 'man who knows'...... It could be a 350SS, 600SS or 750SS. He's categorised it as 'a major drain on the wallet' - even more so if the missing bits aren't in the car.....

pahtphord in da house: could make a lovely little minimal gooseneck chop outta that... Well maybe but I would do an AMA dirt track looker out of it, fat tires, monoposto, Pro Taper bars and on and on, wayyyyyy cool and the Ducati could lend it's self to that perfectly..... An Aprilia in the AMA Championship..... DP says: Would love to do something non-linear with a bike like that............

YES YES!!!!! Just talked to the Swedish Aprilia importer who's at the Milano Show and it's confirmed I will get the first 07 Aprilia Shiver 750 that comes to Scandinavia, it has an all new Aprilia 750cc V-Twin with what Aprilia says right now at the Show, 125hp and just around 150kg...... Next summer on 2 wheels will be real good hopefully, now I don't have to worry about what to drive when not doing the Kustom Bike thing..... DP says: Please, please spring soon.....

More info here: www.wvriders.com/sales/85-cagiva-alazzurra.htmlStrange that a previous owner repainted it with Ducati decals. Bad news is that parts for them are made from pure unobtanium.
