167,000 miles but still in daily use.
For Sale is my trusty Xantia, which I’m only selling as have “upgraded” to a Xantia Hdi
Runs fine on veg oil, but only done it a couple of times when Tesco made a pricing error and were selling a litre at 38p.
Good points:
Solid car, and would have no issues in driving to anywhere in the country.
Changed the standard velour seats to leather (Is actually heated, but never connected that up)
Also changed to a leather steering wheel.
Exclusive Alloy Wheels also added with good tyres.
4 X Electric Windows
Ice Cold Air Con
Exclusive parcel shelf including rear blind.
Bad Points: Be aware being really critical so no surpises.
Battery connection “split” around two years ago, so have an FMB fix (See pictures), Never caused any issues.
Rear n/s central locking not working. Common fault with Xantia’s but stays locked, so just open when needed.
Recently has started to show water in diesel warning light on start up for about 10 secs, but then goes out and does not reappear.
Weird one – Interior lights sometimes come on for a second when braking hard?
Some of segments on Radio display missing, but still readable.
Rear Spoiler fitted but off a black car, so may need to be resprayed. (However I quite like the different colour)
Body work scratches and dings match a car of this age.
Short MOT, but only asking scrap value for the car. Due to the way it drives, be surprised if it needs anything major.
