It's black with tan leather interior.
The good:
First of all, it's a good looking car.
Leather seats are good with no rips, tears or excessive signs on wear.
The roof is good - was replaced 4/5 years ago and goes up and down perfectly
The bodywork is generally good and free from any major problems (a few wee blemishes detailed below)
All electrics work as they should (except the button to put all the windows up symultaniously. It puts them down, so it's just the terminal needing cleaned)
The engine is good - pulls well
The gearbox is good - goes in and out of gear no problems
The bad:
There is a small rust spot starting on both boot edge/corners
The offside front bumper has been ding'd - like that when I bought it
The plastic grill bit thing next to the offside front fog light is missing
A couple of the pixels on the SID (Saab Instrument Display) are temperamental - only on the minute section of the clock I.e. 10:?5
The aerial doesn't really go up or down properly (it does try though)
The CD/radio/6 disc changer works - most of the time. It's a JVC aftermarket thing and sometimes the sound drops from the passenger speakers
There are a few stone chips on the bonnet and one on the windscreen - but isn't an MOT fail or getting worse etc.
The rubber strips that forms seal between the front and rear windows are a bit worn - they still form a seal, it just doesn't look 100%
The A/C needs recharged
When I bought it last year I (or rather had done) most major fluids changed - engine oil, coolant & gearbox oil. Didn't do the brake and clutch.
When we did the gearbox oil, it wasn't too bad and had no major build up of bits on the magnetic plug.
In the time I've had it, I've done:
2 new rear shocks
Offside brake hose
New front springs
Nearside ball joint (offside done by previous owner)
The rear engine mount
Temperature control switch
A small amount of wielding
As seems to the the case with most 30 something's with a wife, 2 children and a dog, I'm needing to change my car for something a little bit more practical.
I bought the convertible a year ago, and have had nothing but grief ever since for buying an 'impractical' car.
I should say though (as I'm sure many of you will know) you can easily get 2 child seats in the back and the boot (with the roof up) is pretty big, so it's not exactly impractical either!
We've done quite a few long weekends away with all the parifinalialy required for a family of 4 - including the kids buggy, more changes of clothes necessary and duvet's etc!
Although, admitidely, there was a few things in a dry bag on the boot rack, but anyway, impractical?
Anyway, it has a brand new 12 month MOT, 5.5 months Tax and will be washed, polished, hoovered and the roof properly cleaned and protected for the new owner.
Also I have for the car (although as they were bought separately, I may sell separately - unless the price is right) I have a set of 5 stud Super 16 alloys which I had sand blasted and re-sprayed last year so they are in great condition - they come with 4 good tyres 2 of them winter.
Also, there is a wind deflector, a tow bar (I bought of the UKSaabs forum, has never been used by the previous owner or myself).
Am not too sure how to price the car, as I know what I paid for it, what I've spent on it and what I'd like for it, but it's fairly likely that none of these will be what I get for it.
So I suppose I'm open to offers.
I'm based in Newport-on-Tay, just outside Dundee.
