I'm taking the head off my breaker E46 328 as the engine as a whole isn't worth much and the heads go for a few hundred quid on ebay. Got most of it striped off but how do I remove the timing chain off the ends of the cam? Is there a link that comes apart somewhere
?

Unless its completely different, I removed the head on my 318 I just undone the 4 bolts holding sprocket to cam and there was enough slack by pulling on the tensioner that it all came off, not ideal but did the job.
