Unfortunately I'm going to have to part with my Audi 80. I'm not going to list all the reasons/excuses I have for selling it, it just deserves to be fixed and put on the road and it's not currently happening.
It's a 1981 Audi 80, it has a 1.6 (4-cylinder) engine and 3-speed Automatic gearbox. As you can see it's pretty low, this has been achieved with cut springs (not done by me). It's the GL model, so it has central locking, sunroof and electric windows all round (which all work).
When it was working it drove nicely, the ride is firm (slightly bouncy), but everything feels quite tight and smooth. The exhaust is blowing a bit from the centrebox tho (I have found a replacement through ebay).
The wheeltrims are Rover P6 steel trims painted slightly differently to look like Fuchs, at a glance they are quite convincing and polish up nicely.
The Audi is in need of a bit of TLC; externally there are some small areas of surface rust, the worst of which is the passenger side front wing. I have a good replacement for it though, unfitted unfortunately. I have the missing trim from the passenger side, it's just not fitted.
The interior is in good condition, a good clean would have it looking excellent.
As you probably guessed, there are some bad points. While in my possesion the Audi has been driven a grand total of about 5 miles, which is because during that time it got quite steamy and the fuel pump gave up. I've changed the fuel pump and filter, it now starts and runs fine, but the reason it got all steamy is because it is piddling water like a nervous puppy from the front of the engine.
The leak seems to be coming from behind the cambelt. I wasn't happy about this. Curses were uttered.
Yeah, somewhere here.
To get the car back on the road it'll need:
The water leak sorted - I've not investigated this further yet, suggestions are welcome as to the cause of the leak.
An exhaust centrebox, as its blowing slightly.
Apart from those 2 main things, it starts and drives, the autobox changes up and down as it should. The body work isn't bad at all, it could just do with a bit of tidying up. Before I bought it, it had a new cambelt and waterpump fitted.
The car is located in Lincoln, price is SOLD. I'm open to negotiation, I just want to see it back on the road. I can get more photos of it if need be.
Cheers!
