I like it, but it looks a little stocky with the arches so low down on the body. I'd love to see one with the arches cut out and some nice flares mounted higher up

I don't understand why you UK guys, who are surrounded by cheap euro machinery and spare parts, would even contemplate something so cheap and nasty as Hyundai Getz.

I think its because its a refreshing change, plus the grass is always greener and that, euro cars are the norm for us over here, same as when my best mate moved to america, he bought a beaten up old plymouth, to him and me having lived in the UK forever it was the most amazing car in history, huge, big v8, rear wheel drive! but he just got looks of disgust over there for driving a 'beater'!

The car is Russian and judging by stuff I've seen they generally not knee deep in european cars anyway (despite the proximity). Plus why not modify one, sometime it's best to do something a bit left field. Cheap and nasty it might be but it's cool IMO. Why modify a Hyundai? or a Lada, Skoda, blar blar blar. This is retro rides man! DO IT!!!!!

Liking the fact that there seems to be some cool cars emerging out of Russia recently.
Really liking this, but then cool wheels and some cool stance will make anything look good.

I drive one of them from Melbourne to Tenant Creek in two days straight, kipping in the back (and back again a week later). I reckon it must have been the only Getz in the outback when it got there. Always been quite fond of them since then.

I like that, but the (stock) boot is an ugly feature on it. a bit of work like they do on Mk3 golf boots would tidy it up no end

A mate has cancer and needs radiotherapy every day. He's finding my Smart Fortwo too "bouncy" for his ravaged insides so I'm now chauffeuring him around in his 06 reg Getz. Not bad car to drive but anyone interested please don't get the 1.1 version as totally gutless. A steep hill I have to back off the throttle in my Smart in 3 gear to stay below 30 mph the Getz hasn't enough power to pull 2nd gear and has to scream in 1st at 20 mph !
