thought i`d start a thread about my beloved Laurel. am a delivery driver so get to see lots of the country i`d rather not, but do et to find some good cars for sale. saw this beauty in a farm yard and after a few enquiries managed to buy it. near minter, 70,00 from new and purrrrrrfect running 2.4 straight six with manual box mint inside, talking computer to keep you amused for seconds. first job remove the tow bar before bit of grinder action later and ta-dah much nicer back end next job was to sort the 4x4 ride height. thought about chopping the springs but decided against it. so sold my pulsar and bought some goodies few s13 bits and an afternoon had it looking like this

Loving it! The front of these is just such a nice shape. Only thing i would personally change would be the wheels. When you say temporary, how long for and what will they be swapped to?
Keep up the good work.

so its been awhile since ive done anything to the old laurel. toyed with the idea of getting rid of it, still might but in the mean time got some new rims. Lotus excel speedlines. had to machine out the centre bore and drill and countersink the bolt holes to accept the inserts from the original Nissan wheels. then spent far to long stripping and polishing them. got a company of the bay to laser cut the centre plates in ally. finally got ptfe blocks made for the centres so`s the fixing for the centre cap was central not offset. think its been worth it as they suit the car really well. pic absolute git to keep polished but well worth it, next up was the mirrors, been after some fender mirrors for a while, keeping an eye on the bay. nothing that tickled my fancy until a came across a pair listed as new old stock chrome mirrors. best of all they where only a few miles from my house, bid won, collected. first job was remove the old ones and fill holes, bit of expanding foam, then cut some plate and covered in vinyl and silicone in place, wait for dry day and take wings off, cut weird shape holes, fit mirrors and re fit wings and BOOM jdm fender mirrors, fricking love them. best or worst of all which ever way you look at it is the mirrors turned out to be genuine mazda rx3 mirrors and apparently are worth a chuffing fortune. old manky pair on the bay going for hundreds of pounds. lets just say I had change from £20 and mine were brand new, result. hope you like. cheers for looking.
