An excellent day was had at Race Shack today... Rainking won a free dyno session in the 'Volkszone Prize Draw' in August, so we took the van up there this morning... First off, without anything being tweaked or changed, the van was making 95bhp at the wheels... then, after some fettling, it went up to 100bhp at the wheels and 113 ft/lbs of torque at 4800RPM (or something!) did a couple of simulated 1/4 mile passes a 16.8 and a 16.7 - well chuffed!!!! then mullered the gearbox getting off the M40 on the way home... oops... still - it was an autojumble special that was only supposed to see us through Bug Jam weekend... and that was July! haha!  Got some more pictures and some video too... so will add them to the thread when I've sorted them. MASSIVE thanks to judgie at RNJMotorsport.co.uk for building the engine, BIG thanks to Conor and Matty at Race Shack for letting me come play, and BIG Thanks to Volkszone (and Rainking) for the Prize Draw! w00t. |

ive got a couple of bus boxes abi, free to a good home if you can be bothered to come to durham, for them. Cheers dude... the van is running a Beetle/Type3 IRS box... but I'll have a word with the man in the know... any idea what sort of bus box they are? Good work sir! what size motor are you running in there and are you on irs or straight axle? Thanks (BTW, I'm a LAAADY don't you know  ) Its a 71x103 Type 4 (2366cc) WebCam 186/86b Big Valve Heads Pair of 44 Weber IDF's and a full custom exhaust built by RNJ Motor Sport in Northampton the gearbox WAS a Type 3 IRS box with Super Diff and HD Sideplate... haha! |
