I have a 1400 K in a little hot rod ,( Rubellion) and it has developed a misfire that is proving a little hard to diagnose.
I'm now living in Canada , so there's no one out here with the diagnostic equipment for a Metro GTI , so i was wondering if any of you guys could share any pearls of wisdom you may have picked up on your travels , to save me having to put a smallblock in it ;D
As soon as you start it , it coughs , farts and pops back , unless you disconnect the TPS , then it runs fine for a short time before it goes into closed loop and then it all goes tits up again.( at least thats the way it seems)
I'm not , and have never, run an O2 sensor , but i'm at nearly 4000ft above sea level here , would that be an issue?
Any help or cheats would be fantastic , and theres a bag of snow in the post for anyone who nails it!!!
