	delivered to my house today for me to play with and make work! its a 1984 spartan kit car, based on the ford cortina. its got a 2ltr pinto engine with 205 block. ally cat wheels, and a lot of work to do! the engine currently doesnt run. or hasnt today. ive tried to start it and it turns over, gets close and sounds like its going to go but doesnt. i blame the year old fuel thats in it! but we will see what we can do over the coming weeks. paint - massively needed. cant not decided on staying white or going black.. either way itll be done last. the interior is really let down by the seats being rubbish! they will be replaced for some old recaros from a golf or similar on lower rails so i fit a little better. all dials and dash needs sorting. roof is an absolute mess. so it will probably spend more time off than on. if anyone knows where to get a new roof from, id really appreciate the help! anyway, here she is!

	managed to get it started! it was a while before it was all fired up but eventually did and i gave it a little blip down my road. I'm in love.

	i've seen a couple of these done with burgandy body and black running boards and wings/arches and they look good. Bryan

	I live literally 2 mins from where they used to be made, a old work friend ended up being the electrician there. They also used to make a large camper style affair.

	My uncle has the exact same Spartan bidy shape as this but his is based on a Triumph Herald chassis/runnning gear. He ended up replacing everything but the main body tub on his (after we collected four new wings, continental kit and dash in Wales and carried them as foot passengers back on the 8 hr ferry!!). I'll get you a photo of it completed for a reference if you need one?

I have a feeling most bits are going to need to be custom made.

	Already contacting the owners club? The Spartan was in the nineties quite popular in Holland as well.

	Hi just wondering how your getting on with my old kit car, yep she was my old girl, never got her officially on the road wink wink but bloody hell she was fun, message me and I'll tell you more like, it's not the original engine, the block she is carrying is out of a j Reg transit and the fact she had a knock in her time.
