Evening all, right quick question hopefully get an answer.
I've been having issues with stone chipping my 309 on the front and the front inner arches. Basically it started with a welding repair to the inner arches, then primed the metal as you do. Then once I applied a lovely layer of stone chip next day it had all run and dried all cracked, the best way to describe is it looks like a dry riverbed. Any ideas as to what is causing the reaction i'm getting??. Thanks, Andy

What sort of primer did you use? Bondaprimer is excellent stuff, you can stone chip and/or paint over it.

Sounds like acrilic based primer reacting with the solvent in the stonechip,remove it all and get some etch primer on the bare metal and re apply the stonechip  |

got the apprentice busy with the thinners so its all off now, etch to be ordered tomoroow thanks for the advice guys

yep thats exactly what it did, i'm off tuesday so hopefully get it etched ready to try again, stone chippimg these arches has been on the to do list for so long but i can finally get it sprayed once its
