I have this 'ere Passat Tdi just bought it last week as a cheap smoker to save pennies when i'm just running around for work and using my 4.6 Range Rover is seriously eating into my profit margins! ![](http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e254/caddilac21/IMG-20120506-00238.jpg) When i drove it back it had a terrible high speed wheel vibration problem which on close examination is due to the wheels not fitting properly! the wheels have a 60mm centre bore and the car is of course 57mm so i have some teeny spigot rings on order which I'm hoping will sort this out.. I assumed the wheels were of a Golf golf they looked like something mk3 ish to me not quite sure but a 60.1mm cb makes them something else maybe Renault? i don't recognise them anyway... Any ideas chaps?

Well at least that confirms it's not patently obvious! i expected to get 'told' within about 20 seconds and have to wallow in my own ignorance for a bit...

Are they not aftermarket wheels? As long as a little care is taken when fitting the wheel you shouldn't need spigot rings, they are only there to centralize the wheel as you fit it
Having them on there certainly won't hurt tho

They look like TSW Hockenheims or cheaper copies there of. I would have thought under the dirt and grime in side the wheel centre there are some manufacturers markings..... Maybe MiM or Alessio or something similar....,.

I had a look when I had the wheels off the other day, but i couldnt see anything that sounded like a wheel maufacturer just some casting number ect
I'll pop one off tomorrow and list what i find see if anything rings a bell with someone on here, i quite like them, just wondered where they came from!
re the spigot rings, i know i can line them up by eye, but this way i know that they're central and if they still wobble it's time to look elsewhere, for £4 it seemed worth a go...

ahh yes they look more like it, the Vee shape on the hocks was a little smaller and the straighter pair of spokes came in a little not parallel.
