I have a friend who owns a 2004 Audi A6. He has a Sony head unit and changer with a sub and amp in the boot. He's had this set up for about 3 years, but a few days ago the rear speakers starting making a hissing/crackling noise. It will do this even with the key out of the ignition.
I've had a quick look on the net. Seems to be problems with the factory amp (possibly Bose) wiring to the speakers,water leaks into the boot onto the amp etc..
Any Audi fans on here...?
