As promised on Bryn's Friday thread, this is what we got up to at the weekend. Firstly, here are a couple of pics of Nicks new workshop
Three generations of the VW. Two in for restoration, the other just for Nick's amusement...
An almost standard left hand drive T25.
Some floor
Less floor
Loves a plasma cutter
Very little floor
No floor
And several hours later, the new chassis is crudely wedged into place for eyeing up and rough measuring
Some subtle height adjustment. Plans are for it to sit this low on 17's.
After a while tinkering in the workshop, it was time to get ready for the house warming party in our lovely new barn next to the house.
First, some security lighting...
I knew those 2CV headlights and Fireblade conrods would come in handy one day.
Then, up to the local for a barrel of fine local ale. (Glad I told everyone else to bring a bottle )
The scene looking into two thirds of the barn before the party (other third taken up by Datsun wagon in bits half way through a minor Skyline brake/strut upgrade)
No photos of the actual event for reasons of non-retroness, but this piture of the aftermath had a slightly retro feel due to staring at tramps as children of the 80's.
Cracking party! Next morning after a heartly breakfast, we were off to the murky realms of Essex to pick up Nicks other project. This featured car was first roofchopped back in 1973, which makes it chopped longer than we have been alive. Cool!
Needs a bit of work, but for now it's just being put back on the road and cruised.
All in all, a cracking weekend...
More updates on the T25, Mog and Datty as and when...
