Hi Folks,
Way back in the mists of time (mid 80's thru to early 90's) my dads friend had a rodded model A. We went to all the street machine and NHRA shows especially billing. this car was always there. It was if I remember correctly 3.5 rover engined, Jag back axle, original model A steel body on midified chassis and running slot-mag style wheels. It was a light burgendy colour.
I have pics somewhere, probably my parents house. Anyone got any rodded A pics? Id like to see them all but inparticular wonder if anyone has a pic of this car.
MODIFIED...........Sorry, it was model A not Y DOH!!!!

I'm certain you do have to have a minimum of a cycle guard over each tyre to stop 'flick up'
Could be wrong.. no doubt I am ;D

yup, you need "sufficient bodywork" to prevent spray or grit being thrown up. Most peole either fit cycle fenders and take them off for shows or hope they don't get tugged.

i thought they had to be covered to prevent pedastrians being injured by the tyres?? probably nonsence

If someone's close enough to be injured by a tyre, I'd be more concerned about the mass of metal above them doing the damage

[ You are stars, this is the closest to the car I was thinking of, but without the supercharger. I figure its the later post 1930??? style model A. They are most Excellent. Next question, how common are model A's for sale? and how much would you rekon they cost on average?

you do need "cycle wings" to make it road legal but it will still pass an MOT without them. i asked the MOT tester about my buggy since they stick out of the arches a little bit. it just depends on whether an onlooking cop is a car fan or not
