Hi, I've recently purchased an MG Maestro and I'm planning on waxoyling it before it starts to disintegrate before my eyes. Going to fill the sills and chassis best i can, do inside the door panels and around the inner wings. Now I've had some people say leave the waxoyl in a bucket of hat water to thin it out and others say they mix it with some thinners so it sprays better. What do people find works best? Also will it not block the drainage holes? or is this not a problem? Have a pic

If you've already bought the waxoyl, work on a warm day (good luck!) and heat the stuff so you can barely touch it to help it flow. Clean out any drainage holes afterwards. If you've not bought it, get some Bilt-Hamber Dynax S50 in the large high pressure aerosols. I've Waxoyled a few of my cars in the past. Be prepared for a very messy job. I definately recommend warming the Waxoyl before use. A bucket of VERY hot water is ideal to stand the Waxoyl tin in. You want the stuff to be dripping out of any drain holes when you apply it. Don't be shy with it. Good luck and get ready for a shower afterwards to get it out of your hair!

yeah just make sure its a loverly think coat its not like painting your living room wall make sure you cake it on and be ready to get coverd in the stuff at it gets everywhere maestro looks very clean in deeed! good look with the waxoyle

I'm a firm supporter of Bilt Hamber, they do an S50 spray wax which is good for the insides of box sections etc but they also do a 'UB' which is more for external surfaces because it dries a lot 'harder'. Still soft but won't wash off, it's also really good for pushing out any water that may be trapped underneath when you spray it.

not a fan of waxoyl, dinitrol is better but BnH get good reveiws If you allready have the waxoyl then get it as hot as you can, better to wait until a hot summer day so the car is warm as well. Make sure you clean it off well when you come to weld new sills on ;P
