IRSM put me on to the carplan foaming stuff Works really well, spray it on, it foams up, leave it till its not foamy any more and then wipe any off the wheels.... job done works, blacks, easy on, lasts well.. does exactly what it says on the tin ;D

Ive always used AutoSmart stuff, its about the only thing i like in their range..applied with a sponge or poss a brush as per back in the day!
But since you don't like the shiney wet look thats not much use unless you wipe/dry it down.

I use back-to-black silicone aerosol stuff...it's about 79p in my local ASDA.

Black underseal mixed with a little bit of thinners and painted on with a brush makes the tyres look nice and black without making them too shiny, its like a more realistic looking tyre paint.

I had a tub of Red-box hand wipes and they worked brilliantly. Kinda like baby wipes or wet-ones but made by swarfega. No shine, just took the grime and grease off the tire and left it the colour it should be.
