Clearly not, bought mine yesterday. Quite a good one, esp the bit about fitting the K series into the MGB being an awkward job - makes a change for someone to be honest about engine swaps ("Oh, it fell in......)

As I said in the original thread, Retrocars has entered into a period of consultation, reference a potential closure. It has never been said that it's closing... Merely that they're thinking about it, and looking at possible options. Magazines are produced two to three months in advance in some cases, so the issue you're seeing for sale was probably finished just before the announcement. There will be definitely be another issue after this one too. Who knows it might still be going in 20yrs... It's rumours like this that kill magazines, Retrocars may well have a long future ahead of it and until such time that you see an editorial piece announcing it's the last issue, I would expect to keep on seeing it each month.

indeed, everyone invest £8 over 2 months and ensure it stays on the shelves!! I'll invest £8 if its worth buying,.. if its not worth buying I won't. Maybe some will buy the magazine license and keep it alive. But purchasing issues out of pity over the next 2 months won't achieve much... That having been said, the last issue was interesting enough,.. so this issue may well be as well. I'll keep my eyes peeled when I go out shopping in a bit.

Just rushed out and bought it, purely because it featured an Ascona. ;D That car was on ebay shortly before I bought the Green Meanie. Speaking of which, there's a certain green Ascona in the reader's rides section. Sadly no longer in my ownership. The guy I sold it to sent it in, but he has since sold it to a guy in Ireland I believe

The guy I sold it to sent it in, but he has since sold it to a guy in Ireland I believe I had seen your old Ascona in the readers wives section. I noticed it never mentioned any history or your legendary road trip to pick it up. Glad to see your back as well, you`ve been missed In other news the mag doesnt look too bad either this month. Loads of Mg`s but they are quite interesting. I really cant understand how a generic retro car mag can struggle for an audience when two classic/retro ford magazines seem to be managing

Cheers fella. I'm devoid of retros at the moment, hence the disappearing act.
Back on topic; First issue I've bought in about 8 months, but it was worth buying. I hope this marks a return to form for them.

Hi mrsigma and mr_b. Plenty of plans but no cash. I might move the Mini on and start looking for another Ascona. There's something about the changing of the seasons that makes me what to splurge on old Opels.
You don't appear to have increased your fleet by much, what's going on?

Blimey! Unemployed; that makes two of us. Not much in the way of jobs around here, as I'm sure you've found out!
