For sale is my much loved Rover 75.
I've had the car for four months, and absolutely love it. However, not only am I now having to do 120 miles a day (due to a job relocation) but my wife point blank refuses to drive it. It's too large really, so now looking for something a bit easier to park.
It took me two months of looking to find this one, and it's the best example I could find for the money.
It's a 53 plate 1.8T in Midnight Blue. It has just 50k on the clock. It has a fully stamped service book. The Head Gasket has been replaced, the oil rail changed and the cam belt has been done. I've also had both coil packs changed, new leads, plugs, oil and filter in the last month. EVERYTHING that fails on this car has been done, so don't be put off. (Even the boot seals have been replaced!)
It's got 11 months MOT, and the tester remarked on just how good it was. (Yep - I know - I've heard this line before, so I'll give you his name and number so you can speak to him yourself)
It's the CLUB SE spec, so it's got dual digital climate, elec windows all round and the better stereo system. All four tyres are midway through their life, so plenty of tread left.
I'm struggling to think of anything more to say really, it's a peach. it doesn't use any coolant, returns me an exact 40MPG brim to brim and starts, stops and goes perfectly.
If I was keeping the car, the ONLY thing I would do would be to touch up a slight scuff on the car (although I'll challenge you to find it when you view)
To be honest - I don't really want to sell it. (and I KNOW - I've heard that line as well!!). But my wife simply won't drive it, which will make this years holidays very difficult.
I am massively up for swaps, though. I have no idea what I want - so try me. MUST be 5 doors (2.5 children) and no thirstier than 40MPG.
If you've never driven one of these, they genuinely are better than they should be. It really IS smooth, but with 150BHP it can hitch up its skirt when needed.
Any questions, just shout. Viewing in St Neots or in Watford (where I work).
If I think of anything else, I'll add it below.
Better pictures to follow.
