Hello there guys I was wondering if anyone out there can tell me more about these fantastic looking motors: Audi 100Coupe S and Audi 100LS Not interested in the new ones I'm talking 70-75. I'm into my VW's but don't think i've ever seen one of these in the flesh. Have you? Are they any good?? Any info much appreciated. Cheers

i had a 74 sedan (yellow, black vynil roof and green interior); to be honest, they look fine, but are not nice to drive...very comfy, engine is very noisy, parts are very hard to get hold of... beware of 1974 models, they were totally different to the earlier/later models... i would take a model from 75/76, they have the front brake discs at the wheels and not at the gearbox like the earlier models; also they have the Audi 80 rear suspension, which is much better, the front brakes fit from the later Audi 100s (77-82) and parts availability is much better.... modifying ? Take a late model whith the old engine (not the OHC from the Audi 80 with 85BHP) and put in either a 2,0l OHC engine from the Audi 100 (77-80) with 115 BHP or the fuel injected Porsche 924 engine (125 BHP); that's it... check out the body work, panels are rare and expensive..... and they rot everywhere... being a big fan of these cars , as i grow up in them (my father had a 1976 GL with 112 BHP, automatic, aircondition and all the goodies), i see it realistic, they look nice, but that's the best part of these cars...
