right we've been trying to fit electric windows and c-locking to a 95 5door merit, all the gubbins and looms have gone in the doors fine, BUT the loom on the car dosent seem to support it, ie, theres only 2 wires going to the door plugs (speaker wires). has anyone else done any upgrade like this? I know on mk2 cavaliers the loom was a plug in module seperate from the main loom and simply plugged into the fuse box. can anyone tell me if the higher spec astras have a similar set up? as currently the windows and locking wont work!!!! basically do I need a complete loom or is it a plug in bit? assuming I can remove it from any astra with c-locking and electric windows! all help appreciated

Eeeeee!
I've done a leccy rear window conversion on my old Cav Sri. I originally just hunted down door looms and all the other relevant parts as I was told that would be all I needed. So, there I am, with a stripped out rear and all the parts ready and then zoinks! No plugs in my original loom. I was no way going to splice the fugger so I ran to the nearest scrap yard.
£5 later and I had myself a full on floor loom from a CDX! Yayness! Oh, and it was a curse word to install it all again grrr

AND... trundle over to www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk for more info. They are truly the best Vx club around (and I used to be a hardcore user on there under another SN) ;D
