hi fellas... as winter is drawing near and theres less and less car shows/rwyb and generaly not much to do...i want another project... my idea is a porsche 924....as there very cheap to buy i.e £250.00 upwards, and i want to fit either a 1jz engine and g/box from the soarer which is 2500cc straight 6 twin turbo, and single turbo it for more room in the engine bay...or the other engine choice would be a nissan skyline rb25det and box from the r33 gts-t... both engines would make 400 hp very easily...
BUT
the 924 does not have an axle or prop shaft,as the gearbox is in the boot and it uses a torque tube to mate up to the engine...so the question and dilema is,do i cut and fab a rear axle in and propshaft...OR... get a fab company to make up an adapter to mount the new engine to the excisting porsche torque tube bellhousing...
and the engine must be under the factory bonnet
whats your thoughts, and good or bad project...cheers...
