so where do I start? lets start with the body mods.... full custom 6 point weld in cage, fibreglass 2 peice front end, carbon fibre roof, carbon fibre boot floor, carbon fibre rear bumper, fibreglass boot, perspex windows, fibreglass rear valance, rear seat/bins cut out, very lightweight doors, single rear beam, fibreglass seats that weigh 2KG each, coilovers all around, aluminium 7.5 4 pot brakes, turbo bulkhead box. The car should weigh all in @ 550KG or there abouts now for some pics hope you like roll cage carbon boot floor rear beam upon being fitted which is happening atm. coilovers and brakes front end built up with test fit of lights and grill and who can spot the wheels test fit of intercooler...perfect hiding place ;D the wheels the car will be sitting on who spys carbon fibre ;D front grill needs repainting as it has a few marks tinted rear lights

now for the engine side of things....this is where it gets serious basicly id like to push around the 170bananas mark out of the blow through set up and i think this is pretty acheivable. ill be getting the kit from slark racing and ive been down there and spoke to neil about it and have the go ahead. he never made a dummy kit so will be starting from scratch again on the pipe work, brackets and what not but he is going to build the kit on my car when its ready which should hopefully be around may time. ;D the engine however if i ever decide to go turbo next year is good for 200+BHP gearbox wise I'm running a straight cut box, straight cut drops, straight cut final drive and a sailsbury LSD 18cc forged omega pistons specialist components steel H rods MED crank which has had reground, ni-temp, wedged and x drilled MED ultralite steel flywheel, backplate and paddle clutch MED race head running 21cc upon them bits above ive just recently purchased a windage tray and decided to go 11 stud with ARP bolts. The engine is currently down MED being bored out to +20 and having cam bearings fitted + drilled out for 11 stud. i get the engine back next wednesday and that will be the day the engine starts going together! happy days ;D

the wheels are exaction wheels off the mini special. there 10x5 standard but mine are 10x6. i did want 10x6.5 but they came along cheap so snapped them up and will use quarter inch spacers

Great build so far. You can't go wrong with Slark engineering. They built me a very lumpy 1312cc A+ lump nearly 20 years ago for my Morris Minor. Dyno'd at 114Bhp. Brilliant engine. Pleased to see they are still in business. I trust Slark is still on the Andover/Salisbury road? Is Noon's scrapyard still opposite? There always seemed be some obscure motors turning up in there... Again this is going back 15-20 years...

I'm not too sure on the scrap yard but pretty sure slark is on salisbury road. I'm nearly 200 miles away from where there based so I'm not local to say the least lol from what ive herd his work is top notch. most of my bits are from MED as there round the corner from me. only using slark because of the supercharger kit they make....
