Mods - Apologies if this is in the wrong section. I am after having a 4-2-1 manifold fabricated for my Audi 80 but I seem to be coming to constant dead ends when it comes to finding a company they will take of this work. Does anyone know anywhere in the Yorkshire area that would take on this work? The closer to Sheffield be better but I don't mind travelling for a decent job. Cheers guys. Have you tried exhaustsuk near the arena? They do make a lot of lousy straight through systems for 1.0 corsas, but they can make a good exhaust if you ask, and I saw them making a manifold when I was there.

Been told they wont do it. . . . Strange for an exhaust fabrication place.

ExhaustsUk were willing to make a manifold for my S2000 engined Corolla, but that was 2 years ago.
You could try Tony Law, but he only works with mild steel and can be found in Leeds.
Also, I second the suggestion for Ricky at RaceTech, he makes some nice manifolds for Starlets/Glaza Turbos.

Cheers guys, I've already been in touch with Ricky, bit too expensive for me really. Going to see him soon tho.
Had a reply from Tony Law but didnt know he only worked with mild steel.
ExhaustUK have said point blank to me that they will not make a manifold for me.

I'm in the exact same position wanting one for my 120y, i have one thats been changed so i was hoping a garage could replicate it with a different angle end but no one seems to want to take it on, surely its only a few pipe bends an a final connect piece. I was put on to hawleys in hillsbrough but they didn't seem keen, they do it but they said "it won't be cheap" so i never followed it up.

, surely its only a few pipe bends an a final connect piece. . Ha, and you wonder why people won't take your job on, exhaust manifolds are a right curse word of a job when you're working to fit it around everything, match the bends, lengths and resonance to the engine and still be able to get around to weld everything up once it's tacked together. It's not a short or easy job. |
