I've decided to sell my Cabby, I bought it a few months back in the hope of running int until its MOt runs then breaking it, but the lack of a heater makes it very difficult to drive in the wet, hence the sale.
what can I tell you about it, well its rusty, it's a nail in every sense of the word, but...... It's drivable, its MOT'd til September, its taxed til the end of the month, the hood works, the wipers work and..... that's about it.
The long long list of issues with it (I'm very honest ;D)
It's rusty almost everywhere, theres even a rust hole in the bonnet, however, if you were looking at saving, this is possible, there's no major rot as such.
It's about 7 shades of green, mixed with a little primer and rust,
the mirrors are odd (but work!)
the bonnet loses rust every time it's closed,
it's only running on 3 and a half cylinders, so won't win any races, but is surprisingly economical (it's done 144k)
The switch was broken for the 4 windows so there is now only 1 switch on the drivers door.
The window wipers don't stop where they should (its a matter of timing, but do work!)
NO CD Player
NO heater (the actuasl motor is missing (I have no idea why),
the lense for front indicator has fallen out,
No history
Leaks a bit of oil.....
still here? Wow!
The good parts (yes there are some!)
the wood is in VGC with no rips or tears, and is a 'dry' car,
the hood electrics work perfectly,
Alloys all have excellent tyres (with a 10 mile only spare)
All lights work as they should,
It drives, stops, starts as it should....
So there we go, it won't win any competitions with it's looks, (it'd be ideal for the rat look), but is reliable, I drove it all the way from Portsmotuh and it didn't miss a beat...
