Pictures from a small vintage meet last Sunday at the Stockyard Truckstop jnt1 M18. Old Foden Old Austin Cool, simple Bedford Full package here, truck, car and caravan. Everything you need for a retro weekend ! I had a matchbox toy of one of these lorries when I was a kid, how small did I feel standing next to it........it was huge ! Ickle Tractor! Yeah D Series are tough as, they're one of those iconic trucks here in NZ, along with the TK Beddies (as shown with the car and caravan)..... and the TM Bedfords were commonly used in truck racing most often powered by the Detroit 2 stroke diesel V6 and V8 motors.

My favourite truck has to be the scammell Crusader. When I was a lad,there was a big BRS depot next door to us,that used these.

i remember loads of these kicking about when i was a kid. my dad used to work for blue circle cement in weardale, they used to have a fleet of these, but they were rigid with a powder tank on the back and twin steer. old trucks are cool as. ps, sorry for the big pics.

Always had a soft spot for the Ford D Series myself. time for this reepost spot then, if i'm not far off. And RRers, burger man is is fixed up and out selling late at night, was a bit giddy drunk when i saw it near the Uni one night! update soon...
