	No, not those. Wheel nuts. I've been told, well, nagged, repeatedly, that I really ought to get some new wheel nuts for my Compomotives (CX 1463), as the ones for my steelies will be incorrect, apparently. So, how do I work out what seat they have? I already know the thread size, 7/16". I've seen sleeve nuts, flat ones, tapered ones and then with different angles. I've been googling for a while now and have come up with absolutely nothing for my specific wheels. They definitely have some sort of taper in there, but I have no idea what angle it is, just need to work that out really! Cheers.

	the easiest way would probably be to cut a piece of card until it sits flush against the seat, then measure the angle of the card with a protractor. The angles tend to be quite nice round figures, so it should give you a good enough idea.

	always thought the standard taper is 60 degrees? obviously most alloys will need longer studs/bolts unless they are already long enough

	The studs are plenty long enough, I've never heard of anyone having to change studs unless they're using PCD adaptors, I'll keep that in mind in future. I thought it was 60 degrees too, but when looking at MrTee and Midland Wheels, I saw all sorts of stuff listed, so thought I'd better ask really. The wheel nuts have the same taper as that of the wheels I have. So I'm still confused as to why I was getting a major ear bashing for using the same wheel nuts that were on the other wheels, maybe they just didn't understand that they're not flat seats like Sprint wheels are. I shall continue as planned. Ta.
